Pacific Pollution

Water is a precious resource, and “a resource we depend on for our life, (earth911.org). Nearly 97% of the world's water is salty or otherwise undrinkable. Another 2% is locked in ice caps and glaciers. That leaves just 1% for all of humanity's needs -- all its agricultural, residential, manufacturing, community, and personal needs. Many factors can affect our water from population growth to drought conditions”. With all the technological advancements, unlimited pollution in the pacific has been greatly affected. Human activities absorb the effects by the marine environment. Water pollution, requires clarifying and chlorinating drinking water, but treatment systems are difficult.

“Pollution is the introduction of substances or energy into the environment, resulting in deleterious effects of such a nature as to endanger human health, harm living resources and ecosystems, and impair or interfere with amenities and other legitimate uses of the environment. The major forms of pollution include; Air, water, noise, light… etc” (edtech.kennesaw.edu) .The evolution of technology in the 20th century led to a sharp increase in the oil consumption around the world. Extraction huge oil quantities from the Earth spicily from Pacific area used source of energy and essential raw material in various industries, especially chemical industries. Some time the companies stand behind illiygal decuomant that it show them droup illegal material on the water. According to Welch S on Officials try to stem illegal dumping of company ,“The companies covered up the illegal dumping by ordering crew members to hide evidence, obtain fake waste-disposal receipts, paint over brackets used to bypass pollution controls -- even lie to grand juries. One chief engineer pleaded guilty last month to discharging 20 tons of oily sludge on one voyage from Japan to Vancouver, Wash. No one knows how often such discharges occur, but investigators say dumping is so common they may be just scratching the surface.”.

The second reason effect the water pollution in the Pacific is smoke from factories. Air pollution is it the gravest disaster facing the earth. Air pollution deteriorating environment due to a flaw in the constituent elements, so air material lose their ability to play their natural work. There are a lot of things that we use it and make this problem to air, and the great example of this is factories because factors contributing toward the growing air pollution problem. For example; many factories around the world made a lot of lofty vapors; these vapors have specific gas; the name of this gas is carbon. As we know carbon is very dangerous and keep the temperature up for long time moreover, when carbon mixed with air and start rain the rain became dirty, this rain name is carbon rain. Carbon rain is very dangerous because when the sky starts rain it's affecting destroying vegetation, polluting oceans and affecting wildlife. Acid rain has long been argued by society s most formidable minds also Acid rain makes the Pacific lose their leaves. It indirectly destroys ecosystems that surround forests and lakes. People use something else; they use cigarettes. The cigarette has a lot of carbon and there are a billion of people who use cigarettes every day, and this made a lot of carbon.
The third reason effect the water pollution in the Pacific is traffic from ships. “The illegal traffic of ships that become waste under the convention”. (ban.org). According to ban.org, “To be very specific Greenpeace and BAN calls upon the Parties to start systematic monitoring and enforcement program to stop illegal traffic in ships as waste where it occurs and where applicable. We specially call upon ship dismantling states to enforce the notification and consent provisions of the Basel Convention for all incoming ships that either have no inventory or are known to contain hazardous materials in their construction.

Abandoned ships are waste as they are simply disposed of as a whole. Government owned ships become waste as soon as the intent to dispose has been made public. Single-hulled tankers become waste by law as soon the requirement to leave the oil market by the provisions of national law resulted in a decision to dispose the tanker. According to (marinelog.com) (2006), pollution from nine ships and false pollution log entries in three additional ships, in six U.S. ports around the nation. OSG will pay a record $37 million -- the largest-ever criminal penalty involving deliberate vessel pollution -- and plead guilty to charges related to illegal dumping of waste oil, criminal violations of the Clean Water Act/Oil Pollution Act and the Act to Prevent Pollution from Ships, conspiracy, false statements and obstruction of justice. This multi-district investigation was conducted in Boston, Mass.; Portland, Maine; Los Angeles; San Francisco; Wilmington, N.C.; and Beaumont, Texas. Also there is another example for this problem, According to Justice's Web site, “The government’s investigation was initiated after the Coast Guard in Boston received a referral from the Marine Safety Branch of Transport Canada, indicating that records for the M/T Uranus showed that bilge waste was being disposed while the official Oil Record Book failed to account for the disposal of waste. It was determined that these illegal discharges occurred within U.S. waters off-the-coast of Maine and Massachusetts. During this time, crew members discharged approximately 150,000 gallons of oil-contaminated waste while “tricking” the Oil Content Meter designed to detect and prevent discharges containing more than 15 parts per million oil, the international limit established by the MARPOL Protocol, an international treaty implemented by the Act to Prevent Pollution from Ships.”

However, Oil companies stand behind the controls on the future of the world and they have common interests with oil companies in determining. So we face big problem to discuses with these companies that they affect on the pacific water.
In conclusion water pollution in the pacific effect by Company is illegally dumping pollution, smoke from factories and traffic from ships. I believe that we can stop pacific pollution and ground level smog be being more efficient in the way we live. I hope that after you heard about the causes, effects, and solutions to pacific pollution you will want to help prevent it. So do what you can and conserve the pacific today.

Oil Drilling in The Pacific

According to Gismatullion’s article “Shell $20 Bln Sakhalin Unit Criticized Ecologists", Royal Dutch Shell Plc and its partners to take big loan from The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development with the bank will decided if they will provide money for the Sakhalin-2 gas project. The U.S.-based Pacific Environment group said "it does have a huge bearing on whether or not western banks and public banks will ultimately finance the project”, because this project could kill off the world's last 100 western gray whales and it is a shame for those banks if provide money for the Sakhalin project. But on the outer hand Shell co. said Feb. 24."Sakhalin Energy and the shareholders have always aspired to the highest standards with this project, the highest environmental and social standards,'' also they excess that Sakhalin improve its environmental and social standards since project started in 1994.

The evolution of technology in the 20th century led to a sharp increase in the oil consumption around the world. Extraction huge oil quantities from the Earth spicily from Pacific area used source of energy and essential raw material in various industries, especially chemical industries. There are some common methods to transfer oil from where it is extracted to wherever it is used. Long pipes, ships, and oil trucks are among the methods of oil delivery. These methods are not away from riskiness. For instances, ships might drawn in the ocean causing significant pollution to the marine environment. There are also risks for using other methods. Sakhalin 1 and 2 projects are away from being safe to the marine inhabitants in the ocean. Many studies warned against those two projects as they threaten the life of the last hundred grey whales living there.

It is not a secret that this project threatens the marine environment in the ocean. As result European governments have recently expressed concern over the Sakhalin 1 and 2 project. Oil is a material and effective functioning international political events and is use as a weapon to achieving people’s goals. Oil companies stand behind the controls on the future of the world and they have common interests with oil companies

Sakhalin 2 poses many threats; it is almost destroying the natural life in Sakhalin Island. Mitsubishi group and Mitsui CO developing Oil transfer natural gas from Sakhalin Island in Russian to US and Asia. This presses effective in the world's largest liquid natural gas facility and immense associated greenhouse gas emissions, Imperils the most critically endangered gray whale population in the world and 11 other endangered species and promotes an unsustainable development path for Russia, which will receive billions of dollars less in revenues from the project than was anticipated.

In Conclusion, Sakhalin project 1 and 2 started of on a bad footing in environment, health, and social issues. And Russian government should find a way to stop this project even if they will lose a lot of money to save natural environment in the Sakhalin Island and keep the special animals in safe. This, in fact, is more important than the profits they going to collect from the project.

Classes

The difference between EAP1 and EAP2 is not only a number. EAP2 is the highest level in CESL (Central of English as Second Language) in Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. In EAP2, students should choose their learning steps according to their abilities and learn the basic. Students are learning about many topics. EAP2 student should be more interacting with taking and discussing the topic with other students. Also EAP1 student should be more comfortable with EAP2 and do not get scared but learn tools which they will have to use to be fully effective professionals.

Language Learning

No one can process information in exactly the same way that he wants. However he can learn things more efficiently and in less time, if he discovers how he can process information best. Arabic language is different than other languages, especially in format. I expand the strategies that I use for learning and studying spicily in English. Because when I learning something new or difficult, I naturally tend to use the learning style that I prefer it. I recommend that every person should have his one learning style to be more successful in life and also they should choose their learning styles according to their abilities and powerful.

Pacific Coast

Should the government control the Pacific coast? Many leaders talk about occlusion every year; they said that in the beginning of year 2000 they would go through this problem and control the occlusion warming. In these days the world faces a major environmental crisis, and we pay the price of hurting nature for a long time, because we didn’t care about it. We polluted and the air for centuries, human been forestland barren desert billion cut trees polluted the seas and oceans, rivers, lakes, springs and streams since the earth was born. The scientists whistle that warmer temperatures in the Pacific waters have disrupted the ecosystem. We should find way to stop this problem before it comes worst. The three problems that we should deal with, at this time are air pollution, cutting threes and nuclear material.

People use something else; they use cigarettes. The cigarette has a lot of carbon and there are a billion of people who use cigarettes every day, and this made a lot of carbon.

The planet contains a large number of different forests; each one is special and environmentally, a composite of several types of particular trees and these species interact with each other, to produce our phenomena. Logging in the forests adversely affects the environment, where Oxygen is mead and where is made a sharper carbon, which are working on the greenhouse effect, leading to increasing global average temperatures and thus lack the rainfall. The Amazon is the biggest forest in this planet and it’s facing these days a lot of problem, because there is no control of the cutting of three. For example, there are a lot of factories using the forest for business by cutting the trees and they do not care about it; cutting trees means more carbon in the earth and it brings us a lot of problem.

The most dangerous material on the earth is nuclear material. These powers kill everything and make a lot of vapors that has a tinny thing we cannot see it by normal eye, it’s very dangerous for all especially that it keep the earth warm. There is a lot of factories that left the dangerous material in the sea because they didn’t have a place to put these materials. This move costs the Pacific and the sea a lot of problems because it kills the sea world.

My opinion is the government should stop these illegal things and immediately halt its ineffective system because it is killing our plant. Also we need professional organization to control and created new system for global resource. Every day we kill the Earth and we didn’t care about it; one day maybe we will lose the Pacific and this means the end of the life. We should make a new system and rolls for this problem also aid the natural organization because if there is no water no life.

In conclusion, pacific cost problem with air pollution, cutting threes and nuclear material. The government should control this issue and stop every one use his power to kill the Earth, because it’s very important for the humanity to continuo life. Also nationhood’s should create system that they use professional people to finish this issue.

Dammam

I have lived in a huge city in the East Province of Saudi Arabia. Dammam is the capital of the Eastern Province. Dammam lies on the tip of land near the Arabian Gulf; it is a large industrial and metropolitan area. It is a major seaport. The reason that I like this city is because it is near a small city. Also, the Saudi Government focuses on this city because it is a center for petroleum and natural gas, but also the centre of all commerce in the eastern parts of the kingdom.

Tarout Island

Tarout Island, or Ishtarut, named by the Phoenicians, is the second largest island in the Arabian Gulf. Tarout Island, and Al Qatif Oasis, which is on the coast near it, is located in the western province of Saudi Arabia. Before Islam, Tarout Island was known as Ishtarut.
Ishtarut was the name of their God of love and beauty. The history of this island goes back to over five thousands years ago. It was believed to be “the Garden of Eden, a piece of Heaven on Earth,” according to some website. Tarout Island is the birth of cultures, one of the quaint cities in history and the most important seaport in the past. Tarout Island became interesting because it has Tarout castle. This castle is the most important historical location on the Gulf Sea. I was born in Tarout Island and I love this city not just because I was born on it, and also because it’s very old.
